The Yellow Fish series assembles identical units of 3D-printed fish, modeled and  simplified from the yellowtail scad (colloquially known as ikan kuning,  or “yellow fish”)—a species that is now widely farmed and consumed  across Southeast Asia.

These units are suspended from ready-made shelvings in a manner  reminescent of traditional fish catching, drying and selling; while also  teetering toward systematic arrangements and modular qualities  associated with factory reproduction. This is mirrored in each artwork’s  name, which articulates the “product” specifications of the work while  also obscuring them in abstract sequences of numbers and codes.
