mimesis is a stack of postcards that depict digital collages. These collages are composed of the artist’s fingers and feet, contorted and cropped into various shapes to resemble the body parts of spider crabs. Viewers are encouraged to take a postcard—where it is revealed that each piece in the stack may have a different collage, with a different assembly of body parts. Contingent on audience activation, the work presents an unstable image that eludes complete mastery.
