Siew laser printed multiple iterations of the crab on transparency—composition and materiality alluding to old-school teaching with overhead projectors and microscope slides. Fragmenting the crab’s body makes it appear dissected, but overlaying different iterations challenge expectations of scientific clarity–referring to the queerness of body transformation difficult to capture through normative economies of visibility.
